Linna Lewis Peterson, 58, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away tragically in an auto accident in New Jersey on Thursday, August 14, 2008. She is survived by her husband of 18 years, Carl Peterson; children, Sheldon Richards and wife Devon Chabot-Richards, Stefanie Richards, Tracy Peterson, and Brian Peterson; parents, Betty Marquess Lewis and Hunter Weymouth Lewis; siblings, Abby Lewis and husband Ben Klein, Hunter Marquess Lewis and wife Shelly Durkin Lewis, and Clifford Tureman Lewis and wife, Lori Campbell Lewis; and numerous other relatives and friends. Linna was preceded in death by her grandfather, Preacher Hunter Nicholas Lewis, of Mesilla Park, NM. She was born on March 14, 1950 in El Paso, TX and grew up in Albuquerque where she graduated from Sandia High School in 1968. She attended and graduated from UNM, with a BA in Accounting. Linna gave birth to Sheldon in 1981, and Stefanie in 1982 before marrying Carl in 1990, and gaining two more children, Tracy and Brian. She was delighted to witness the marriage of her son, Sheldon to Devon in 2002. Linna was very devoted to the Lord and spent her time loving her family and friends. She was a devoted and long time member at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church since 1984. Linna completed five years of Bible Study Fellowship and was a children's leader. She was very dedicated, along with Carl, in serving Community Bible Study. Linna was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. A Celebration of her life will be held at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy Blvd. NE, Thursday, August 21, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE.
