Bette L. Lantz, 54, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2008. Bette had previously lived in Phoenix and Flagstaff, AZ, and had lived the last 35 years in Albuquerque. Bette was born on November 10, 1953 to Myron John and Rubye L. (McCarson) Lantz of Creston, IA. She was a longtime employee in the food services industry. Bette will be remembered for her love of shopping, collection of celebrity memorabilia and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Above all, she enjoyed the large family gatherings, especially during the holidays. Bette is survived by her mother, Rubye L. Lantz; siblings, Richard Lantz and his wife, Chelisa, M. Sue Tucker and her husband, Jack, Thomas Lantz and his wife, Sharon, Barbara Stowe and her husband, Gary, Dale Lantz and his wife, Lisa; Aunt Rosie Dahlin and her daughters Pamela and Melody, and Aunt Billie McCarson and daughter, Paula; and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in her name to the UNM Oncology Department, Albuquerque, NM. Visitation will be held Monday, August 18, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carlisle Chapel.
