Dorothy Louise Grooms, 90, beloved mother of Janet Louise Grooms, passed away while traveling near Cooper Landing, AK. Dorothy, an Albuquerque resident since 1970, is remembered as the world's most wonderful mother and wife. She loved to travel and enjoyed cross-stitching and reading. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, W. Ralph Grooms who passed away in 2000; and her younger daughter, Dorothy Morell who passed away in 2001. Dorothy bravely endured Myelodysplasia Syndrome and its complications. Viewing and visitation is to be held on Sunday, July 27, 2008 from 1:00-3:00 p.m., at the Carlisle Chapel. Mrs. Grooms will be laid to rest with her beloved husband in the Santa Fe National Cemetery in a private service.
