Virginia B. Oyenik, 85, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2008. She was born May 25, 1923, a daughter of Francisco and Elvira Bal. She was a dedicated Air Force wife and loving mother to her four children. Survivors include her children; Sherry Berry, Albuquerque; Darla (Guy) Lewis, Onalaska, WA; Andrew "Skip" Oyenik, Albuquerque; Mark Oyenik and partner, Jennifer Hodgson, Rio Rancho; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and one sister; Louise Young of California. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew; and one brother,Robert Bal. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at the French Mortuary Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
