George Diaz Mata, born April 13, 1918, in San Antonio, TX, was called home by our Father on July 16, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife Luka K. Mata in April 2008. George is survived by five loving children, Mary Alice K. Ayze of Albuquerque, NM, George K.K. Mata of San Diego, CA, Richard K.K. Mata of St. Anne, IL, Roberto T. Mata and Ricardo M. Mata both of San Antonio, TX. He also leaves behind 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; and countless others who became part of his family through deep loving relationships. Visitations will be Sunday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services-Alameda Mortuary, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Celebration of George's Life will be conducted Monday July 21, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. also in Chapel.
