Lucille "Lucy" (Larrabee) Cafferty, 81, a resident of Corrales, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2008, with her loving family by her side. Lucy was born January 7, 1927, the daughter of Bill and Anna Hafertepe in St. Louis, MO. She retired as a Budget Analyst from Sandia Labs in 1983. The beautiful flowers were enjoyed by birds, bees, and humans, too. She loved to do elegant tailgate parties for opening night at the Santa Fe Opera. Lucy loved square dancing, round dancing, and ballroom dancing. She loved all creatures great and small. When she saw a creature in trouble, she sprang into action to rescue it. She was preceded in death by her former husband Joe Larrabee; daughters, Betty Ruper and Theresa "Terry" Greenstreet; grandson, Robert Ruper; and her beloved dog, Molly. Lucy is survived by her husband Leo; sons, John Larrabee and wife Barbara, Dr. Lee and wife Dr. Susan Cafferty; daughters, Maureen, Colleen and Jeanie Cafferty; grandchildren, James Ruper and wife Janet, Daryl Greenstreet and wife Lisa, Shelly Ramirez and husband Andy, Jeannette Maxwell, Tanner Larrabee, Danielle Sedillo-Cafferty, and Shawn Cafferty-Lueck; and six great-grandchildren.
