Margaret C. Hume, 86, a resident of Rio Rancho for over 25 years, died Monday, June 30, 2008. The daughter of John H. and Margaret (Fischer) Clarke, Margaret was born in Brooklyn, NY, January 29, 1922. After retiring from AT & T, Margaret and her husband, Frank, moved from New York to Rio Rancho in the early eighties. During their years in Rio Rancho, they were both active in several area groups. Margaret was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Telephone Pioneers, and the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society. She also actively contributed to numerous children's organizations. Margaret was a prolific knitter. She made and donated many blankets, sweaters, booties, and lap blankets over the years. Margaret also loved to travel and kept her mind keen by working crossword puzzles. She was preceded in death by her husband in December 2000. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Karen Pangrazzi and husband Bob of Wiesbaden, Germany and her two grandsons, Rob and Scott Pangrazzi. Visitation will be Sunday, July 6, 2008 from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 4310 Sara Rd at Meadowlark Ln, Rio Rancho. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 am, Monday, July 7, 2008 at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd SE, Rio Rancho, NM with interment to follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho.
