Obituary for ANDREWS

Craig G. "Andy" Andrews, age 91, died peacefully at his residence on June 20, 2008. He had lived in Albuquerque since 1961, and had built a successful practice as an architect. Upon his retirement, he was passionately involved with his hobbies, including barbershop quartet singing, camping, and bird watching. He became an award-winning photographer, a grower of prize pumpkins, and took many trophies as a swimmer in the Senior Olympics. During World War II, he served as a Navy Lieutenant in the South Pacific. Andy was proceeded in death by his wife, Alice, in 2002. His survivors include his niece, Kay Sandel of Oklahoma City; his nephew Frank Andrews of Santa Fe; and his nephew-in-law Drew Millhollon of Dallas. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday June 26, at Sandia Memory Gardens, 9500 San Pedro Drive, NE, Albuquerque. Those wishing to memorialize Andy's life are requested to make a donation to the Audubon Society.
