Obituary for BARNCASTLE

Rudolph Barncastle, 74, husband, father, golfer, engineer, and lover of life, died June 4 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. He graduated from Albuquerque High school, served in the Navy during the Korean War, and attended the University of New Mexico. He then spent most of his life working for the phone company as an engineer. He retired from US West after 35 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Pam; daughter Arlene and husband Steve Baum, daughter Lynne Barncastle; son John Barncastle; step-son Shawn and wife Leah Berry; step-daughter Danielle and husband Justin Mendenhall; first wife Pat Metoyer; step-father Joe Mirabal; brother Leroy Barncastle; sisters; Irene and husband Dean Cox, Lorraine and husband Joe Verhest, grandchildren Eli, Jenny, Ethan, Karly, Kurt, Lorien, Thaddeus, Jackson, Connor and Hannah. He was preceded in death by his father, John Barncastle; mother Lena Mirabal; and three beloved pets who are waiting for him to take them on an eternal walk.
