Fred Garms, 78, a long time resident of Bosque Farms, NM., went home to be with our Lord after suddenly passing from a heart attack on Sunday, May 18th, 2008, with his loving family at his side. Fred is survived by his loving wife, Millie, of 56 years; three daughters, Kathy Kitchens and her husband, Terry, Patricia Dunnagan, Fritz Garms-Martinez and her husband, Martin; two grandsons, Greg Kitchens and his wife, Sarah and Richard Kitchens all of Albuquerque. Fred also is survived by one sister, Betty Lou White and her husband, Glen of Mosquero, NM; two nephews, Jack White and his wife, Terry, Fred White and his wife, Beatrice; two nieces, Glenna Rierson and her husband, James, Nelda Burson and her husband, John all of Tucumcari, NM; many more loving nieces and nephews. In addition, he is survived by three sisters-in-law, Pauline Cox of Lubbock, TX, Nancy Meyer of Socorro, NM and Bobby Whiting of Bosque Farms. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Bess Garms-Brown and Louis Garms and his step-father, Bob Brown. Fred was born in Mosquero, NM on December 13, 1929. He retired from AT&T as a Supervisor after 33 years and then retired from the Village of Bosque Farms after 4 years. Fred enjoyed taking care of his 1/2 acre in Bosque Farms, especially mowing the lawn on his riding lawn mower. He was a friend to everyone and was always willing to help anyone at any time. He will be deeply missed! A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 23rd, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Mosquero, NM at the Mosquero Cemetery with Roy Mitchell officiating.
