Along with many loving great uncles and aunts, cousins and numerous friends. Calvin "Cal" was our strength, love, beauty and the heart that kept our family together and was lighthearted and optimistic in even the worst of situations. He strived on being the best at whatever he put his heart and mind to. He always complained about being bored because everything he did, he mastered almost immediately. He would say "Is this it"? Calvin was competitive in football, team roping, skeet shooting, racing late model race cars and stunting for the UNM cheer team. We were shocked when he tried to throw a back tuck and hit it on the first try. He loved spending time with his loving family, friends, and the amazing woman in his life and ours, Rikki Farfel. He always wanted to find his soul mate to share his life with and he found that in Rikki. Together they cheered on the UNM cheer team where he was also completing his junior year majoring in English, just like his sister, Channell. Cal and Rikki worked diligently together with the support of their family and friends to make the most competitive and elite University of Hawaii cheer team. They were so nervous throughout the entire process, and through three cuts, they both received letters inviting them to join the team in the fall. He was so proud of himself and even through his moments of doubt, his family knew there was no doubt that both he and Rikki would be leaving them in August. Calvin strived to be healthy and loved to workout to make his already amazing, muscular body even better. He always gave meaningful hugs to his family and friends and always told everyone "I love you." He was all about having a good time. Calvin always praised on his nieces, Mia and Nevada and his nephew, and Godson, Cole. Their pictures covered his refrigerator. Calvin was perfect in body, heart, mind and soul. His love permeated those he came in contact with and will continue to do so everyday. We love you and miss you so much our son, brother and "my love." Serving as pallbearers will be Matt Pacheco, Vincent Montoya, Matt Segura, Ross Martinez, Tony Vasquez, and Jacob Hall. Honorary pallbearers will be Grandpa Larry Wilson, Andrew Montoya, David Montoya, Norman Montoya, Rick Wilson and Tommy Segura.
