Obituary for SCHWERKOSKE

(Ske) John Arthur Schwerkoske passed away at home at the age of 59 on Friday, April 25, 2008 from cancer with his beloved family by his side. He was born June 26, 1948, in Toledo, Ohio and moved to Albuquerque in 1952. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Ann Schwerkoske; sister, Rebecca Weston, his beloved daughter, Lori Schwerkoske; father and mother-in-law, Transito and Perfetita Mirabal. He is survived by his loving wife, Angelina; his loving daughter, Amy and her fiance, Wayne MacLeod; his loving brother, Tom Schwerkoske; and loving granddaughters, whom he raised, Angelica and Miriah; and great-granddaughter, Lexi (Lucky); Aunt Edie and Uncle Ed Dopieralski of Ottawa Lake, Michigan; cousin Barry Pringle of Rossford, Ohio; seven sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law; Virginia Cordova, Tillie and Rudy Tenorio, Pat and Richard Espinosa, Helen Miller, Jeanette and Jim Lopez, Rey and Sandy Mirabal, Ruth and Charlie Goitia. Candice Rhoades, Jakob and Kayden that we consider a daughter and grandkids. John was a 1966 Rio Grande High School Graduate. He enjoyed showing his 1967 Cougar and dune buggy at car shows. Also, his small stationary engines. At this time, we would like to give a special Thank You to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Lovelace Oncology that saw him during his treatments. Also Adam Roach, RN from Odyssey Home Care who came to see and help take care of him. God Bless each and every one of you. Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in John's memory. Cremation has taken place, and a Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Desert Springs Church, 705 Osuna Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87113.
