Mary Virginia Poszwa, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1949, died Monday, April 28, 2008. She is survived by her sister, Nona Hill; brother, Carroll Maden; niece, Neoma Baker; and many nieces and nephews. Mary served in the Army during WWII as a WAC and was a bookkeeper retiring at the age of 86. She was an avid reader who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Mary will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2008 at the Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the local animal shelters.
