Thelma Lee (Vossen) Murphy, February 7, 1924 - April, 18, 2008. Thelma, 84,passed away at her home in San Leandro, CA. Born in Ellinwood, Kansas she was preceded in death by her husband, M/Sgt. Thomas R. Murphy, Ret. Thelma is survived by her children, James Robert Murphy, Jean Marie Morris, Theresa Ann McHenry and Catherine Marie Murphy-Webster; 19 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. Thelma, a fun-loving, spirited woman who captivated the hearts of many, worked for many years at the Kirtland Bowling Lanes and the Tijeras Arroyo Golf Course in Albuquerque. A Funeral Mass will be held at the Shrine of St. Bernadette in Albuquerque on Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at 9:00 a.m. Following at 3:00 p.m. Thelma will be laid to rest with her husband at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to attend.
