Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday May 04, 2008

Clifford Corley French, 43, who constantly ingratiated others with his mirth, died early Thursday, May 1, 2008, after a long struggle with ill health. He never met a stranger. He had the tenacity to do all tasks well and was currently working on a degree in computer science. A lifelong Episcopalian, he had just transferred back to St. John's Cathedral in Albuquerque, NM from St. Paul in Waxahachie, TX. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy Alice Gilliland French of Albuquerque, NM; father, Richard Wilson French and wife, Nelda of Corpus Christi, TX; grandmother, Wilma Maureen Wilson French of Hot Springs, AK; two sisters, Karla Lynn French Messick of Albuquerque and Kathryn Lucille French King of Austin, TX; four nieces, Karlyn Michaele Crafton, Sarah Elizabeth Brewer, Angel K. Messick and Katrina Alicia Yarborough; nephew, James Kleberg Yarborough; and six great-nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association of NM, 2625 Pennsylvania NE, Suite 225, Albuquerque, NM 87110; the American Heart Association Local Affiliate, 2201 San Pedro NE, Building 2, Suite 102, Albuquerque, NM 87110; or the Albuquerque Kidney Center, 11298 Lomas Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87112. After a dialysis treatment Clifford would say, "Well, I'm back to abnormal!" Services are pending and will be announced at a later date.
