Obituary for ARNOT

Rev. James L. On March 9, 2008, Rev. James L. Arnot (Jim) entered into the presence of the Lord he served for over 40 years as a Minister in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Jim was born in Albuquerque, NM in 1940. He graduated from Highland High School, the University of New Mexico and San Francisco Theological Seminary. Jim faithfully served churches in Nebraska, Minnesota, Florida and Ohio. Music was his life-long passion and became an important part of his ministry as he would always participate in the choirs of the churches where he served. New church development and re-development was very important to Jim and later in his career he helped lay the groundwork for the New Albany Presbyterian Church (New Albany, OH) where he has worshipped since his retirement. Rev. Arnot is preceded in death by his father, Robert Arnot and his mother, Alice Arnot. He will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 43 years, Nancy, and his sons Michael of Newport Beach, CA and Mark of London, UK, his brother Robert Eugene (Dona) of Albuquerque, his sister Margaret (Paul) Cunningham of Albuquerque, nieces: DeeDee (Pete) Butterfield, Debra Arnot (Scott Hammond), Alicia Cunningham, nephew, Nathan Cunningham, of Albuquerque and grandnieces of Albuquerque. A Memorial Service was held on March 15, 2008 at Hoge Memorial Presbyterian Church in Columbus, OH with Rev. David Milroy officiating. An Albuquerque Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 215 Locust NE. A reception for family and friends will follow the service in Fellowship Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rev.
