Lala Aguilar, 79, a resident of Bernalillo, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2008. Lala was born June 28, 1928, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She is survived by four children, James Aguilar and fiance, Liz Montoya, Gerard Aguilar, Sr., Anna Aguilar and fiance, Michael Sura, and Jerome Aguilar, Sr.; grandchildren, Aubrey Oliva and husband, Alex, Aliesha Aguilar, Jerome Aguilar, Jr., and Gerard Aguilar, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Josiah Chavez and Lily Oliva; brother, Abelino Garcia, Jr. and wife, Edwina; two sisters, Mabel Hopkins, and Theresa Baldonado and husband, Jimmy; and two sisters-in-law, Aneda Aguilar and Stella Aguilar. The Rosary for Lala will be recited at 7:00 p.m., today, Thursday, April 24, 2008, in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Friday, April 25, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, in Bernalillo. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery.
