Lola D. Chavez, 89, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away April 20, 2008. Mrs. Chavez is survived by her six loving children, Sophia Chavez, Regina Zamora, Lupe Morrell, David Chavez and wife, Lupe, Domingo Chavez and fiance, Virginia Sanchez, Leroy Gallegos; brother, Trinidad F. Romero and wife, Cathy; daughters-in-law, Becky Chavez and Dorothy Chavez; 31 grandchildren; 69 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and four on the way; and many other extended family members. Mrs. Chavez was preceded in death by her husband, Guillermo Chavez Sr.; her children, Trinidad Chavez, Joe Chavez, Guillermo Chavez Jr., Angie Baca, and Rosemary Chavez. Mrs. Chavez was a member of the Catholic Church. Visitation will be Thursday evening, April 24, 2008, at Gabaldon Memorial Chapel, 1000 Old Coors Dr. SW from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Manuelita Pino. Final Visitation will be Friday morning, April 25, 2008, at 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. by a Franciscan Friar. Interment will follow at Los Lentes Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Diaz, Albert Olguin Jr., Willie Chavez, Anthony Chavez, Jose Gallegos, and Johnny Garcia.
