Obituary for HAMILTON

James E., 75, a resident of Albuquerque since 1970, died a sudden death Tuesday, April 8, 2008. He was born January 15, 1933, to Joseph E. and Mary (Keast) Hamilton in Lansing, Michigan. His loving wife of 50 years, Nora F. Hamilton, and infant daughter, Rhonda Lynn Hamilton, preceded him in death. He is survived by his children, Joetta (Jo) Cormier and spouse, Ronnie, of Albuquerque, Michael Hamilton of Albuquerque, and Natalie Johnson and spouse, James, of Shoreline, WA; his sisters, Mary Jo Welch of Dallas, TX and Patricia Lonergan of Bend, OR; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. James was retired after being self-employed for many years; his former businesses were M&S Transmissions and co-owner of Wholesale Auto Parts. He enjoyed camping and fishing, playing cribbage, and pinochle. He was also a US Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Rosary will be recited on Monday, April 14, 2008, 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, with viewing from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 1:30 p.m. Pallbearers will be Joe Cormier, James E. Johnson, Anthony Herrera, Joe Aceves, Shane Rodgers, Josh Catron, and Alan Bullard.
