Maria Amelia Casias, 74, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away during the early morning of April 8, 2008 with her husband at her side. She was born June 17, 1933 in Mora, NM. She was the middle child of five children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gregorio and Magdalena Cordova, and brothers Fred and Lorenzo. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Pat Casias; daughter, Veronica Jaramillo and husband Raymond; son, Henry Casias and wife Kathi; three grandchildren, Jessica Jaramillo-Anaya and husband Louie; Justin and Ryane Casias; and sisters, Viola Cordova and Marcela Valdez. She was a strong, beautiful, and loving woman who adored her family, especially her children and grandchildren. Her family's faith in God brings them peace, knowing that she is reunited with her loved ones and resting peacefully in Heaven. Mom, Grandma, we love you so much and we will miss you! The Rosary will be held on Friday, April 11, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. at the Shrine of St. Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Road NE.
