Jerry Atwood, age 75, of Albuquerque, died peacefully in his sleep after a long illness, Saturday, April 5, 2008. Jerry spent most of his life in the automobile business. After retirement, he worked in loss-prevention with Wal-Mart. Jerry was a loving husband to June, his wife of 53 years; father and friend to his son, Gary; "Papa" to his grandchildren, Joshua and Savannah. A graveside service will be held Thursday, April 10, at 2:00 PM, at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary Wednesday, April 9, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
