Michael D. Cutrer, 47, of Cumberland, died Sunday, April 6, 2008, at his residence. Born November 7, 1960, in Albuquerque, NM, he was the son of Margaret Rose Cutrer and the late Kenneth Cessna. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Renee. Michael attended high school in Albuquerque. He was the executive chef at Rocky Gap Lodge (Crestline, Inc.). He studied at the Culinary Institute of America. His previous assignments were with Crestline in Brasstown Resort, Young Harris, Georgia, The Hyatt in Witchitaw, Kansas, and Portsmouth, Va. He was locally active with the Chefs of Steel and the March of Dimes. In addition to his mother, surviving are his wife, Heidi (Gibbs) Cutrer (general manager of Puccini's Restaurant); three brothers, Richard, Kenneth, and Robert; two sisters, Cynthia and Tanya. A Memorial Service will be conducted at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Avenue, Cumberland (www.scarpellifh.com) on Thursday, April 10, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Paul Dietz officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home one-hour prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
