Sarah Archuleta died on Saturday, March 22, 2008 in a local hospital with her loving family beside her. Sarah was born to Faustino Jaramillo and Elvira Gonzales on July 17, 1922 in Mountainair, New Mexico. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Santiago Archuleta and her oldest son, Maj. Benny J. Archuleta of De Soto, TX. Survivors include her special son, Manuel Archuleta who has spend the last 10 years taking care of Mama; sons, David Archuleta and wife Becky, Mark Archuleta and partner Pam and Michael Archuleta; daughters, Ruth Isaacs, Linda Herrera and husband, Manuel, Dorothy Wright and husband, Glenn. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; numerous other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW. A rosary will be recited by Phil and Mary Jaramillo on Wednesday evening, March 26, 2008 at 7:00 pm, with the Visitation beginning at 6:30pm. A eulogy will be presented by Robert Wright and Arthur Chavez. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 9:00am, with interment following at San Jose de Armijo Cemetery off of Coors and Arenal SW. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Benny Archuleta, Jimmie Archuleta, Michael Archuleta Jr., Ron Herrera, Jack (Jay) Isaacs and Glenn Wright.
