Sally Montoya Chacon, 96, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2008 at Vista Care Hospice Unit at Lovelace Hospital, Downtown. Sally Chacon was born on September 10, 1911 to Juan and Flora Wolfel Montoya. She was a devote parishioner at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Sally was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ted T. Chacon, and her grandson, Randy Thompson. She is survived by her children, Rosemary Thompson, Juliette Martinez, and Ted Chacon, Jr. all of Albuquerque; her grandchildren, Dale Thompson and wife Karen, Ana Thompson, Matisse Martinez and husband Jeff Popenoe, Michael Martinez, and Monique Sanchez and husband Gerald, as well as her great-grandchildren, Robert Thompson, Gabriel Thompson, Sarina Martinez, Antone Martinez, Jake Sanchez and Andre Sanchez. She is survived also by her sister-in-law, Florence Black, Antone and Sarina's mother, Leonella "Leo" Martinez, Sam Pacheco, Kulbir Puri, many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends. A Rosary and Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with interment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
