Dr. James E. Parra, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2008. He was born June 5, 1958 in Santa Fe, NM. James graduated from Marquette University and attended Medical School at the University of New Mexico. At the time of his passing he was practicing general surgery at Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, NM. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and dogs. James loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating, music and his ATV. He is survived by his daughter, Christine; two sons, Jimmy and Jason; his parents, James and Betty Parra; brother, Mark and wife, Chay; sister, Darlene; and his nieces Callan, Sonia and Rachel. The Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2008, 11:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Sorrows, 301 Camino del Pueblo, Bernalillo, NM.
