Barbara J. Dees, 70, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, February, 24, 2008. Born December 15, 1937 to Opal and Mae Hobgood in Evansville, IN, Barbara moved to Albuquerque in 1968. She retired from US West after 38 years of service. She touched many lives with her small flower business, designing flower arrangements for over 150 weddings and events. Barbara is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ralph; daughter, Cindy Dees; son Brian Dees; sister, Louise Oberhausen; and many nieces; and nephews; and wonderful family friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Opal and mother, Mae. Services will be held Thursday, February 28, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at Netherwood Park Church of Christ. Burial to follow.
