Abel William Bazan, age 65 went to be with the Lord February 22, 2008 Abie is survived by his loving wife Debbie Bazan, son Abel Bazan Jr. and girlfriend Judy Chavez, daughters Maria Bazan, Patricia Garcia-Bazan and husband Carlos, Debra Bazan-Lopez and husband Freddie Lopez; Stepchildren, Carlos Hernandez and wife Daisy, Stephanie Hernandez and husband Steve Baca and Vanessa Hernandez; Brothers John Bazan, George Bazan and wife Della, Danny Bazan and wife Maryann; Sister Gloria Garduno and husband Eloy; Thirteen grandchildren and one great grandson as well as many other family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father Emilio "Shorty" Bazan, mother Ruby Bazan; and sister Rosie Bazan. Abie retired from the Albuquerque Veterans Hospital and was proud to serve in the US Air Force. He also loved collecting Coke memorabilia. A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO THE AMBERCARE NURSES AND STAFF. ABIE LOVED YOU AS WE KNOW YOU LOVED HIM. A Rosary will take place at Sacred Heart Church 412 Stover SW, Tuesday February 26 at 7:00pm. Mass will be recited at Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday February 27 at 10:30 am with interment at Mount Calvary Cemetary immediately following the service. Pallbearers will be George Bazan, Freddie Lopez Jr, Carlos Garcia-Bazan, Carlos Hernandez, Larry Chavez and Ronnie Bazan. Honorary pallbearers are Andres Bazan, Freddie Lopez III, Chris Bazan, Eddie Saiz and John Bazan Sr.
