Obituary for SCULLY

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday February 24, 2008

PEGGY Peggy fought a seven-year battle with lymphoma and went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2008. She was almost 54. Cancer didn't defeat Peggy, but drew her to know her Lord and Christ in a very personal and intimate way. She became a testimony to all who knew her and she never lost her positive, feisty sense of humor. She kept us laughing. Peg never felt sorry for herself and was a beacon of light to all of us who knew her. Peggy was the wife of Kevin Scully and one of four children from Bill and Eleanor Hedges of Hampton, New Jersey (Peggy, David, Carol, and Don). Kevin was the love of her life, true companion, and faithful caregiver. In keeping with Peggy's grateful heart to God and those around her, we would like to express our warmest appreciation and thanks to Dr. Rabinowitz and the Oncology staff at Lovelace; to Patt for giving her some extra quality of life, and for the loving care and support by the staff at Ambercare Hospice, with a special thanks to Jodi, Charlotte, Dori, Nikki, and Karen.
