Mary Joan McCafferty died on Thursday night, February 21, 2008, at the age of 71. Joan is survived by her children, Bill, Jane, Patty, Peggy, Robin, and Mike. Joan was born in Kentucky, moved to Michigan when she married, and for the past 35 years, has called New Mexico her home. Joan had family and friends from coast to coast. She had in-laws and cousins that she loved; nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews that she adored; so many very dear friends; and lots and lots of adopted grandchildren that she treasured. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Hospice Unit at Kaseman/Presbyterian for their extraordinary kindness.
