Obituary for DURAN

Pauline V Duran, 79, went home to be with the Lord February 20, 2008. She was born May 24, 1928, in El Valle, New Mexico and was a resident of Albuquerque for the last 55 years. Along with her husband and children, she was a member of the Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. She loved to spend as much time with her family as possible. In addition to raising her family, Pauline worked at various restaurants throughout Albuquerque. She also briefly opened and ran Pauline's Gift and Thrift Shop. She was a daily patron of Hometown Buffet, where she visited with many friends and all of the staff, all whom she loved dearly. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Juan J. Duran; six children, all of the Albuquerque area, Mike (Birgit) Duran, Ray (Dolores) Duran, Dianne (Jim) Goodnight, Paul (Carol) Duran, Susan (Tom) Gallegos, John (Lorraine) Duran; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters; and one brother. The family of Pauline would like to thank everyone for the support and love they gave her over the many years. Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at the Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 1800 Martha Street, NE, Albuquerque, with Rosary at 8:00 a.m. and Mass at 9:00 a.m. The family would like to invite everyone to a reception at the Church that will immediately follow the Services. Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 North Guadalupe Street, Santa Fe.
