Stella L. Tafoya born July 8, 1934 in Brilliant New Mexico passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Monday February 11, 2008. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Elias and Jesusita Duran, daughter Arlene Valdez; son, Robert Marquez; and two sisters and five brothers. Stella is survived by her daughters, Juanita Marquez, Diana Gaudio, Roberta Evans and husband, Kevin, and Lena Duran. Sons, Larry Tafoya and wife, Kathy, Paul Tafoya, Richard Tafoya and wife Kim. 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; four sisters; and one brother, and countless friends and family members.Visitation is Wednesday February 13, 2008 from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Riverside Funeral Home, 225 San Mateo NE, Albuquerque NM. Services will be held Thursday February 14, 2008 at Calvary of Albuquerque, 4001 Osuna NE, Albuquerque NM at 10:00 a.m. with interment following at Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers are Aaron Tafoya, Robert Marquez, Brandon Valdez, Paul Tafoya Jr., Stephen Vazquez, and John Paul Duran. Honorary Pallbearers are Ruben Marquez and Richard Marquez.
