Sarah A. Tafoya, 84, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2008 in Socorro, NM. She was born March 15, 1923 to Luis C. and Andrita (Giron) Aragon in Socorro, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fidel Tafoya; son, Arturo Tafoya; brothers: Andy Aragon and Orlando Aragon. She is survived by her sons: Rick Tafoya and wife, Lucy; Joe Tafoya and wife, Melissa; Tony Tafoya and wife, Judy; and Frank Tafoya and wife, Evelyn; daughter, Andrea Alarcon; brothers: Luis Aragon Jr., Charlie Aragon and Bill Aragon; sisters: Angelica Chavez; Isabel Webber; and Loretta Aragon; 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Steadman-Hall Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro with Mass of the Resurrection immediately following. Father Andy Pavlak as Celebrant. Burial will be in the Polvadera, NM cemetery. Pallbearers are Anthony Tafoya, Althea Tafoya, Ted Tafoya, Brad Encinias, Sarah Alarcon and Fidel Alarcon.
