Maria (Ricci) passed on Monday, January 28, 2008, after succumbing to a lengthy illness. Born August 23, 1937, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She grew up on the Isleta Indian reservation south of Albuquerque and has lived in Del City, Oklahoma the last 50 years. Amongst her family and friends she was known for her kindness and caring attitude. She was a loving wife, mother of 4 boys, grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 3. She met her husband in Nashville, Tennessee in 1958 and was married in Bay, St Louis and would have celebrated their 50th anniversary on June 30. She retired from Lucent after twenty years of service. She loved to shop and buy things for her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Ashel and their three sons, James, wife Tanya, Raymond, wife Jennifer, Ashel, wife Michele and their families. She had one sister, Peggy; and two brothers, George and Raymond; sister-in law, Kathy; with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by father, John; mother, Mary; brother, Frank; and son, Bobby. There will be a celebration of Ricci's life on Saturday, February 9, 2008.
