Marian L. Alderson, 85, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away January 29, 2008. Born March 16, 1922 in Emporia, Kansas, Marian lived a number of years in Topeka, KS, Hastings, NE, and Albuquerque, NM before moving to Arizona in 1991. Survivors include her daughter, Royce (John) Freeman of Paradise Valley; one sister, Jean Chittenden of Bethany, OK; daughter-in-law, Karen Alderson of El Cerrito, CA; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Roy and her son, Michael. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Service at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Valley Presbyterian Church, Kilgore Chapel, 6947 E. McDonald Drive, Paradise Valley, AZ 85253. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Marian's memory to the Valley Presbyterian Church Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to Messinger Indian School Mortuary, Scottsdale, AZ.
