Melba E. (Grossmann) Snyder, of Prescott, AZ, passed away on Saturday January 12, 2008. Born and raised in St. Louis, MO, to the late Roy and Augusta Grossmann, she spent much of her adult life in the Southwest. She was employed as a secretary and bookkeeper, a stewardess for TWA, church secretary, adult education instructor for the Navajo Concentrated Employment Program, and with Santa Fe Railroad, from whom she eventually retired. Funeral Services were held on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran in Prescott, and burial will be at a later date in Belleville, IL. Melba is survived by four sons, Walter (Stephanie), Paul, Timothy (Brenda), Stephen, and Carla Marie (Andrew) Byars. Beloved mother, grandmother of six, and great-grandmother of two. Memorials to the New Mexico Make-a-Wish Foundation.
