Virginia Miller (Womack), 81, a resident of Albuquerque, died January 18, 2008, with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney; son, David; son-in-law, Gene Flowers. She is survived by daughters, Sandy Flowers and Barbara; grandchildren, Scott Davalos, wife Annelouise; Donna Gabaldon, husband Jacob; Rowdy Vaughn, wife Patty; Deanne Torres, husband Daniel; great-grandchildren, Kymberly; and great-great-grandchildren, Michael, Jaydon, Tristen, and Adriana. She also helped raise her niece, Kathy Landford, nephews, Steve and Carl Hunton, and my dad's sister, Jean Blume. They all thought of her as "mom". Her sister, Lois Ann Gallagher and brother, Steve Womack are still alive. Her family was her greatest joy. She was born on a ranch near Mountainair on January 4, 1927. She moved to Albuquerque as a teenager and attended Albuquerque High School. During the war she rode a motorcycle delivering the mail. At this time she met our father. Our mother worked most of her life at Sandia Corp. After she retired she played the ponies, started "Collectors Showcase", and owned thousands of dolls. We would like to think Kathy and her family for all the wonderful things they have done for her. She loved the visits to your house and seeing the grand kids. Also, the trips to Montana and Wisconsin she never forgot. Marie you were always there for her too. To all her casino buddies thank you so much for taking her with you on all the many trips. She loved it. Mom you were the best and we thank you for everything you have done for us. Nobody could spell better than you and it seemed that you knew everything. We want to thank Dr. J Gomez, Dr. Jenson, and Hospice for taking good care of her. On February 3, 2008 at 2:00 we will have a celebration of her life at our house. Everyone is invited 883-6986 Her ashes will be spread at the family reunion this summer.
