Obituary for DAVIS

Robert L. "Bob" Davis, 69, longtime resident of Albuquerque, went home to be with God, Thursday, January 24, 2008. He is survived by his wife, Becky of 29 wonderful years; daughters, Diana Maloof and husband, Paul, and Lucille Brasher and husband, Joe, Brandy S. Lopez; sons, Scott Davis, Mike Davis and wife, Tammy, and John Davis; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; treasured sister-in-laws, Margaret DeVolk and husband, Gerald, Pauline Perea, and Frances Griego and husband, Joseph; brothers-in-laws, Pat Chavez, Jr. and wife, Rita, Joe Chavez and wife, Barbara, and Wilfred Chavez and wife, Maria; many great and loving nieces and nephews; and his Route 66 Optimist family where he was a life member. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sophie and Kelly Davis. Bob retired from the U.S. Air Force and General Electric before he spent his remaining years doing wonderful wooden crafts such as toys for children at the UNMH Cancer Center; he was also a professional clown performing magic as Jessie the Jester/Sir Humphrey the Hobo. Robert, also known as "Poppie," was a great cook and loved bowling with his wife, which is how they met. A Rosary will be recited Sunday, January 27, 2008, 6:00 p.m., at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, January 28, 2008, 10:00 a.m., at St. Therese.
