Willie Lucero, age 85, of Albuquerque, surrounded by his loving family, went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, January 16, 2008. He was well known in Albuquerque as a home builder and construction manager. Willie never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Vinia; daughter, Carolyn Arnold and husband, Don and their children, Michelle and Courtney; daughter, Linda Lucero and her daughter, Talia and husband, Elgie; son, Ben Lucero and wife Wendy and children, Brooke and husband, David, Shannon and husband, Wally, Breyanna, and Dax; son, David Lucero and daughters, Reyna and Patricia Faith; great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Logan, Haley, Kameron; and three brothers and six sisters. Willie was preceded in death by sons, Willie Jr. and Johnny Robert and daughter, Lorie. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, January 22, at 11:00 a.m., at Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque (Hub building), 4001 Osuna NE. A Committal Service will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. with military honors by the United States Volunteers.
