Charles William Bauer, age 81, of Albuquerque, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2008. He was born on October 18, 1926 in Mifflin Township, Pennsylvania. Charles met and married the love of his life, Rhea Pirl on August 13, 1945 in New York. She preceded him in death on July 31, 2005. He moved to Albuquerque in 1958 and worked for Southern Union Gas Company. Charles retired from PNM in 1988 after 30 years of service. He is survived by his daughter, Vera and husband, Mel Masters of Albuquerque; a son, Charles W. Bauer II and wife, Glenda of Henderson, NV; two grandchildren, Rhea Jean Holliday and husband, Cameron of Loveland, CO, and John James Masters and wife, JoAnn of Edgewood; and two great- grandchildren, Jamie Ann and Amanda Jean who were the absolute "apples" of his eye. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Friends and family may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Tuesday, January 22, 2008 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
