Obituary for ANAYA

Orlando E. Anaya, formerly of Taos, NM, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2008 following a lengthy illness. He was born October 16, 1938 to the late Lydio and Rosana Anaya. He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Sanchez and husband Bobby, Donna Baca and Alex Coca; grandchildren, Luke and Nicolette Sanchez; brothers, Arthur, Ted, and Ricky Anaya; his sister, Gloria Vigil and husband, James; numerous nieces and nephews and many close friends. He served in the U.S. Army and was a retired Journeyman Electrician, holding membership with IBEW Local Union #611. His taste for life's finer offerings knew few bounds, nor did his interests. We wish you peace, love, and light. It was an honor to have you in our lives; you will be greatly missed. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Church, where a Rosary will be recited at 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:15 p.m., also at Santa Maria de la Paz Catholic Church. Interment will follow with full military honors at 2:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Eddie Baca, James Vigil, Larry Kittredge, Luke Sanchez, Steve Sanchez, and Tom Wheaton. Honorary Pallbearers will include close family and friends.
