Virginia L. Harness, 85, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2008. She was born on November 3, 1922 in Ceder Vale, KS and lived in Albuquerque for the last 50 years. She was a resident of Los Colinas Retirement Village for the last seven years and also a member of the Eastern Hills Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Harness; an infant son, Grant; a grandson, Dennis Kear; her parents, Leslie and Faye Barker; brother, Harley Barker; and sisters, Lola Concannon and Elsie Martin. She is survived by her daughters, Pat Gothard and husband, Tom, and Terry Kear and husband, Tom; grandchildren, Steve Kear, Carol Manning, and Tom Gothard V; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2008 at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 3100 Morris NE. The family requests that memorials go to the charity of the donor's choice.
