Mildred Lucille Romero, beloved wife, mother, sister and aunt passed away Friday, January 11, 2008, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born in Pinehurst, North Carolina in 1931, Lucille married in 1952, and became a military wife and mother to five children. She is preceded in death by her father, Sheldon David Burke; mother, Mallie Lee Guy; brother, John R. Burke; sister, Mary Eure; brother, Franklin D. Burke; and brother, Sheldon D. Burke, Jr. (Buddy). She is survived by her husband, Daniel W. Romero, Sr.; children, Daniel W. Romero, Jr., Tommy L. Romero, David W. Romero, Marsha L. Weber, and John R. Romero; sisters, Patricia A. Fuller, Peggy J. Butler, and Barbara S. Belcher; and brothers; Willard Lee Burke (Bill) and William James Burke (Jimmy); ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends who loved and will miss her. Rosary will be recited on Monday, January 14, 2008, 6:30 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2008, 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary Lomas Chapel.
