Obituary for GARCIA

ANTONIO J. Mr. Antonio J. Garcia, 86, a resident of Albuquerque and formerly of Santa Fe passed away on January 9, 2008 and is now in Heaven with our Lord. Mr. Garcia is the beloved husband to Mrs. Lourdes D. Garcia, married for 60 years. Mr. Garcia is also survived by his children, Juanita Perry, Cecelia Garcia, Roberta Rivera and husband, Stephen, Robert Garcia, Patrick Garcia and wife Emelda; one sister, Priscilla Archuleta; ten grandchildren, Kathleen, Thomas, Kimberly, Antonio, Edwardo, Angelina, Jennifer, Gregory, Michael and Samantha; ten great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mr. Garcia was preceded in death by his son, Raymond Garcia. Mr. Garcia was a member of the Catholic Church and a Veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II, a member of the V.F.W. Post 13 and a Eucharist Minister to the elderly and to the residents at the nursing homes. Visitation for Mr. Garcia will be Monday morning at San Ignacio Catholic Church, 1400 Walter Avenue NE, from 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 8:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Committal Service will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with Military Honors.
