Obituary for ALMAGRO

Herminia Almagro, 91, a resident of Albuquerque for 38 years, died Tuesday, January 8, 2007. She is survived by her son, Enrique Almagro and wife, Maria L.; and many friends. Herminia was preceded in death by her husband, Enrique A. Almagro, Sr.; and one son, Alvaro Almagro. She was born on November 26, 1916 in Camaguey, Cuba to Humberto and Julia Rodriguez. After immigrating to the United States she worked at UNM as a translator for the College of Education for several years. Herminia was a loving mother and friend and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, January 12, 2008, 9:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE. Ennichment of cremated remains will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Humane Association of NM, 615 Virginia SE, 87108 .
