Manuel Jose Chavez "Joe" was born August 10, 1950 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Our loving brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007 in Albuquerque. He is survived by his two sons, Sammy Chavez and Robert Chavez; one daughter, Kathryn Chavez; four grandchildren; seven sisters, Patsy Marquez and husband, Oscar, Nellie Lente and husband, Joe, Carmen Hurtado, Louisa Lucero, Liz Garcia and husband, Chester, Yolanda Baca and husband, Louie, and Theresa Padilla; one brother, Richard Chavez and wife, Christine, all of Albuquerque; several other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved and will miss him. Visitation and Services will be held in the Chapel of Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith NE, on Friday, January 4, 2008. The visitation will begin at 12:00 noon. The Rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will then take place in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
