Obituary for COCHRANE

Albert Willesly Cochrane, 78, a resident of Albuquerque, died Monday, December 24, 2007. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Barbara; sons, Alan and Albert of Sacramento, CA; and daughter-in-law, Arlene; five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; three nephews; two best friends, "Ace" and "Chip" and a host of friends around the world. Al was born in New York City, NY, on March 29, 1929 to the late Alberto and Marjorie Benjamin Cochrane. He entered the US Air Force in 1948. After completing 25 years of service, he retired in 1973, from Kirtland Air Force Base. Al served a tour of duty in Vietnam and was stationed in England and various bases around the world. After retirement, Al continued to work as an auto mechanic at the Auto Hobby Shop and as a movie projectionist at the movie theater on base. Al married Barbara Lee Coleman on December 22, 1965 and had just celebrated their 42nd anniversary. Al was a member of New Hope Full Gospel Baptist Church. Services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2007, 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Interment will take place Monday, December 31, 2007, 1:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
