Santiago Anaya, 94, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2007. He is survived by his sister, Paulita Saavedra; two daughters, Magdalena Anaya-Rehberg and husband, Daniel and Sofia Anaya; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Espiridiona Anaya. Santiago was a member of the Alianza Federal De Mercedes, U.F.W., and Foster Grandparents. Rosary will be recited Monday, December 17, 2007, 7:00 p.m., at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 9502 4th St. NW. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, December 18, 2007, 9:00 a.m., also at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
