Maria Angela Apodaca, age 34, passed away Friday, November 23, 2007 in Needville, Texas where she resided. She was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Maria is survived by her husband, Ralph Gonzales; children, Ralph Gonzales, Jr. and Jennifer Gonzales; mother, Carmen Apodaca and step-father, Alberto Gonzales; brothers, Daniel, James, Gus, Johnny and wife, Raquel; niece, Jalissa; and sister, Charmaine; and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Damacio Apodaca and father-in-law, Frank Gonzales; and a special thank you to Charlet who was a second mom to Maria. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church. Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I, you are you... whatever we were to each other, that we still are. Call me by my old familiar name. Speak of me in the way you always used... put no difference in your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorry... laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be the household name it always was let it be spoken without effort. Life means all that is ever meant. It is the same as it ever was. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well, nothing is past; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as Before, only better infinitely happier and forever. We will be one together with Christ
