Raymond (Shorty) DeLara, 71, passed away on December 1, 2007. Born in Madrid, New Mexico on June 21, 1936, he lived most of his life in Gallup, NM. The past ten years he lived in Rio Rancho to be closer to his family. He is survived by his children, Rose Loretta Rosete and her husband, Anthony, Debbie Shirley Cordova and her husband, Randy, Albert DeLara and his wife, Arlene, Steve DeLara, Edward DeLara and his wife, Maris, Mary Silva and Joseph DeLara; 28 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Alberto and Margarita DeLara, and his son, Richard (Ricky) DeLara. A Rosary will be recited Saturday at 10:00 a.m., December 8, 2007 to be followed by a Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services Southern Blvd. Chapel, 2400 Southern Blvd. SE, Rio Rancho.
