Armond R. Mr. Armond R. Turpen, 73, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on November 29, 2007. Mr. Turpen is survived by his cousins, Laura G. Cruz and husband Miguel from Norwalk, CA and Henry C. Gonzalez and wife, Theresa of South Gate, CA; and his special friend and companion, Marie Baca from Isleta, NM; his grandchildren, Mark Baca and Veronica Piro from Isleta, NM and many friends who knew him at the V.F.W. Post 6216. Mr. Turpen was a member of the Catholic Church, a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps serving during the Korean Conflict and was also a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion. A visitation will be Wednesday, December 5, 2007 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW, with a Rosary to be recited at 8:30 a.m. A Communion Service will follow the Rosary at 9:00 a.m., Deacon Santos Abeyta, presider. Committal Services will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m., with full military honors by the United States Volunteers.
